Hi Dave I’ll writing jamb next year and I want to study food science and technology but my dad is really discouraging not only my dad almost everyone around me am confused please. Eria, The Food Science is a dynamic field. The material that I studied was fascinating and I can't really say that I regret it, but if I could go back now, I'd certainly pick a different field.

Degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and even business can be beneficial, depending the type of position you plan to pursue post graduation. i developed passion before i applied for the course and never regret till date. MPS in subjects like emergency management, international relations, cybernetics, and human rights all give students skills that apply directly to gaps in established career-fields and expertise for emerging industries. After several years of less extensive training, I earned a masters in nutrition and then completed a clinical internship to become an RD.

Although there are food companies that close or have layoffs, chances are you can apply your skills to other foods or processes, which I think is a huge benefit of this degree.
