Hi Dave I’ll writing jamb next year and I want to study food science and technology but my dad is really discouraging not only my dad almost everyone around me am confused please. Eria, The Food Science is a dynamic field. The material that I studied was fascinating and I can't really say that I regret it, but if I could go back now, I'd certainly pick a different field.

But then, you have a lot of classes about counseling and nutrition in a hospital setting that aren't as fun. OH, and make good friends with your professors. However, everything you learn in Food Science is intertwined and you’ll need to apply concepts from both types sciences. What baffles me while i was in grad school was that i hardly found any of my college that choose the course from the onset, i felt as if i was the only one among over 80 students in my first year, as the semester progress, most of the students changed to other faculties while some had no choice than to continue, and above all, majority never regret after the completion of there study. I was wondering if getting a master in Food Science is worth it? This one area of interest I’ve… I’m thinking of human nutrition, food processing and storage technology and Food Microbiology and biotechnology. Salary?

Can you phrase this in the form of a question? Not all of these jobs require a degree in food science. MPS in subjects like emergency management, international relations, cybernetics, and human rights all give students skills that apply directly to gaps in established career-fields and expertise for emerging industries. Consider a Professional Master of Education. 1. The jobs at health centers/gyms is probably fun and rewarding, but they are very hard to come by. I’m worried about the job oppurtunities that I would get after my graduation and how much I could earn per month. I can’t attest that all of these different masters’ degree types are equally worthwhile.
After several years of less extensive training, I earned a masters in nutrition and then completed a clinical internship to become an RD.
Although there are food companies that close or have layoffs, chances are you can apply your skills to other foods or processes, which I think is a huge benefit of this degree.
